In this day of Drones, and Government surveillance, it's good to know that you can build rockets, from items you can find in your home, to protect yourself.

O.K. not really. But with a matchstick and some tin foil you can build yourself some cheap entertainment.

I don't know anything about sceince. I even think I just spelled it wrong, but it turns out if you wrap a pin and a matchstick with tinfoil, and make sure the foil is tight around the pin, you'll create a shaft. Then, when you light the match, the smoke from said match will escape down that pin shaft, hence, propelling the matchstick like a rocket.

I know, it sounds kind of complicated. That's because I have the vocabulary of 6th grader, so it's tough for me to explain things. Good thing the Slow Mo Guys have a video, and yes, it's in slow motion.

Now, will these be able to shoot down surveillance drones? No sir. But, if you make a pouch and fill it with arsenic, (or cheap California red wine), you might be able to hurt something.
