You've seen the Halloween Pranks where people build elaborate accessories to help pull

I got up to dish out more apples and toothbrushes to the kids

off the joke. Sometimes it's the simple ones that have the most effect.

I remember Halloween 1973. I had just come back Cambodia where I flew planes for Air America. I was relaxing watching the Matrix on my DVD player, not knowing at the time how badly that movie franchise was going to be screwed up. My doorbell rang. I got up to dish out more apples and toothbrushes to the kids.

Soon as I opened the door, I noticed a bag on fire. I grabbed the first thing I could find to smother it. My folks had just returned from royal chapel of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin Italy, and luckily they had a towel of some sort hanging on the back of the recliner. I smashed it down on the bag and realized it was full of crap.

Don't you hate stuff that's full of crap. Good prank though. It's the simple ones. Take this idea for example. Simple. Candy on a table for the taking, and a person dressed up in costume grabbing kids as they walk up.
