Several Baylor Scott & White Clinics Closing in Central Texas
Baylor Scott & White recently announced looming layoffs for 3% of their workforce due to the fallout of COVID-19, but now some clinic locations will also be closing.
According to a report from KCEN-TV, several clinic locations in Central Texas will be closing effective July 6. Some doctors from clinics that are closing will relocate to other Central Texas clinics that will remain open.
The following Baylor Scott & White Clinics in Central Texas will be closing July 6:
In a statement on their website, Baylor Scott & White has announced that,"The providers at the practice will be moving to other Baylor Scott & White Health locations. The same safe, quality care will be provided to you and your family, just at a new location. Clinic staff will assist patients in rescheduling future appointments at these new locations."
It's incredibly sad to see these locations closing and people being out of work. COVID-19 has taken a toll on just about every industry, and healthcare facilities were hit hard when restrictions were placed on what services they could offer in the early days of the pandemic. Our hearts go out to those affected by these closings.
