From our friends at Channel 25, Gov. Abbott has signed a waiver that will allow restaurants to deliver alcohol to it's customers. Of course you still have to provide proof of age and you must also include food in that delivery but this will make it easier to get your favorite beer, wine or mixed drink to accompany your favorite meal.

Previously only third party companies were allowed to deliver alcohol but this waiver makes it possible, for the time being, for restaurants to make the deliveries themselves.

A quote from Texas Governor Greg Abbott "The State of Texas is committed to supporting retailers, restaurants, and their employees, these waivers will allow restaurants to provide enhanced delivery options to consumers during this temporary period of social distancing."

The waiver takes effect immediately so why wait, order some food and an ice cold adult beverage for delivery now.
