Pup of the Week: a Family Dog

I've often said that mutts, those irresistible yet indefinite combinations of various canine breeds and bloodlines, are dogs with the greatest capacity for love.  It's because they have nothing to prove.

This week's Friday Furry Friend is a unique mix of I don't know what. Searching for a forever home, the pup named Masquera or Mascara depending on your preferred spelling, is a study in contradictions:

• A quiet dog with great confidence and curiosity.
• A small dog breed mixed with a large dog breed.
• A peaceful pup who has energy to spare when kids are around.
• A new visitor to our studio who made herself at home as if she'd been there before.
