‘Ocean’s 8′ Wins the Weekend at the Box Office

It was a relatively slow weekend for new movies. There were only a few releases, and only one or two of those were met with favorable results

'Ocean's 8', the newest installment in the 'Ocean's' franchise, came out of the weekend with the highest bx office total at over $41 million. It was the only new release in the top three, as Solo: A Star Wars Story and Deadpool 2 each slid down a spot to numbers 2 and 3.

Hereditary, a horror film from studio A24, was the next new release on the list, clocking in at number 4 overall. Hotel Artemis, while not as successful as the studio hoped, grabbed the 8th spot for the weekend.

While this may have been an underwhelming weekend, next Friday promises a little more with the highly anticipated releases of The Incredibles 2.
