Everyone's looking for a unique idea in the restaurant and bar business. It's hard to stumble upon a successful theme. Kudos to entrepreneur Charlie Valentine for a novel idea.  A novel by Anthony Burgess to be exact.

Get ready for your nightly dose of milk plus in Austin, here comes Moloko, an establishment named for and in tribute to the bar in Stanley Kubrick's 1971 movie of A Clockwork Orange, Austin 360 reports.  They also point out that the establishment is going to be quite small, about 550 sq ft.  They do plan to have music, maybe a little of the Ludwig Van.  Hopefully not so much singing in the rain.

In a world that's so averse to any potential of a lawsuit, you have to admit Valentine has some guts. If someone gets drunk at his bar and then imitates the movie by beating up someone, I wonder if the court system will hold him and the bar liable for the actions of a few Droogs.  It was a similar fear that caused the director himself to remove Orange from distribution in his adopted country, the UK. Bootleg VHS copies circulated for years but after violent incidents allegedly inspired by the anarchy in the film, the director began to fear his own judgment in putting ultraviolence on the screen.

Austin is not a very violent town town, it's more of a quirky place.  Let's hope all have a good time in the spirit the owner intends.
