Netflix is working on making password sharing a thing of the past.

According to a report from CNN, Netflix is tired of losing money to those of us who share our passwords with friends and family.

Netflix is testing a new feature that will crack down on those who share a subscription with others outside of their household. An alert may pop up on your screen asking you to verify if you're an authorized user on the account. A text or email will be sent to the account holder who can then verify your account.

"This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so," a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. The company's terms of service say accounts "may not be shared with individuals beyond your household."

First of all, there's probably like 1% of the population who reads the complete terms of service agreement. Secondly, Netflix is a multi-billion dollar company, and this password sharing block is utterly ridiculous for those of us on a budget. Last of all, Netflix already increased prices for streaming just this year!

Netflix you are being so greedy! Just take all of our money, sheesh. I mean, it's not like we're in a pandemic and struggling to get by anyway. Obviously Netflix is not a necessity, but it's the little things in life that help you get by.

Netflix says that this is just a test, but we all know they've been working to eliminate password sharing for years.
