Last year, on July 30, 2020, NASA launched the Perseverance rover as part of the Mars 2020 Mission, NASA's 2 year mission to find life on Mars. On February 18, 2021 , at 1:55 pm MST (3:55 ET), NASA announced that the Perseverance rover landed SUCCESSFULLY on the surface of Mars.

I remembered as a kid being fascinated with space. One of my most cherished memories was doing a book report on the original 1969 Neil Armstrong moon landing & actually drawing Neil in his space suit holding up the American flag. Being a huge Rush fan as well, I REALLY became more intrigued with space travel after listening to the Moving Pictures & Signals albums, blasting out "Tom Sawyer" & "Countdown", hoping one day that I too could travel the depths of space.

As an adult, I realize I may never get to be an astronaut in outer space, but seeing the successful landing of the Perseverance Rover on Mars, gives me hope that one day we COULD find life out there in space.
