Police say a 59-year-old man died Sunday afternoon in Nolanville after losing control of his motorcycle in the 900 block of I-14.

Brandon Hamilton with our news partner, KWTX, reports that the crash happened around 3:50 PM.

It appears that the rider, who was wearing a helmet, lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson bike on the westbound service road and crashed on the shoulder of the roadway.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity had not yet been released as of this article's composition.

Unfortunately, this was not the only fatal motorcycle crash in Central Texas over the weekend.

One rider was killed and another hospitalized after a crash on 317 west of Temple Friday. The fatally injured rider struck a truck that was attempting to make a U-turn on the highway. The collision caused the rider's bike to crash into another.

The driver of the truck is suspected of having been intoxicated, and police say they found marijuana in his possession.
