“Miss USA” aka “Miss Nevada” Doesn’t Know the Capital of Her “Home” State

Pop Quiz hot shot. What is the capital of Texas?  I know because I’ve lived here since the 60’s.   I think I would know it if I lived here for just 6 months.   I know I would know it if I competed to be Miss Texas.  

Not quite the case for the new Miss USA, Nia Sanchez.  Nia doesn't even know the capital of Nevada, the state she represented in the pageant.

Nia was doing a radio interview  in New York Yesterday and they asked her the Capital Question.

She couldn’t tell him the capital of Nevada.   She kinda knew.  Maybe.  When the host told her that it was Carson City, she said, quote, "Thank you I was going to say that!  I was like, that one DJ host on MTV, back in the day, his name, that's how I always remembered it."

I guess she was  talking about Carson Daly.

You know there is talk that Nia isn’t really a Nevada resident.  She was born in California,  in 2010, 2011 and 2012, she  competed in the Miss California pageant. She NEVER won.

Nia then had a brilliant idea, if she couldn’t win in Cali, she’d move to another state.

So she moved to Nevada,  competed in 2014, beat all those “ugly’ Nevada girls, and then wins Miss USA.

But both she and pageant officials say she met all residency requirements.

Whatever!  I ain't mad at her.  All those beauty queens look alike to me!
