UPDATE: Due to recent rainfall, the closure of the portion of Main Street/FM 935 crossing I-35 in Troy has been postponed until Friday, February 23 beginning at 7 PM.

TxDOT's Jodi Wheatley says the work is expected to be completed by Friday, March 2.

Maps indicating alternate routes can be found below.

Prepare for big headaches in Troy beginning next Friday, as the portion of Main Street/FM 935 that intersects with I-35 will be closed for at least 7 days.

TxDOT's Jodi Wheatley issued a press release Monday detailing the closure, which takes effect Friday, February 16.

Wheatley wrote:

Beginning at 7 PM Friday, February 16, 2018, FM 935/Main St. under I-35 will close for approximately 7 days. This closure will allow the contractor to remove the existing FM 935/Main St. bridge in preparation for building the new roadway and the new Texas  turnarounds under I-35.

Northbound travelers wanting to go west on FM 935/Main St. will detour onto the northbound frontage road about one mile to the new North Troy crossing (Windmill Lane), U-turn onto the southbound frontage road and back to FM 935/Main St.

Southbound travelers wanting to travel east on FM 935/Main St. will detour onto the southbound frontage road about one mile to the new South Troy crossing (Love’s Boulevard), U-turn onto the northbound frontage road and back to FM 935/Main St.

Travelers are encouraged to watch for and obey all warning and detour signs as conditions in the construction area change.

Below are maps illustrating the detours mentioned in the TxDOT release.
