Hat's off to Punxsutawney Phil. Looks like he got it right this year.

Back on February 2, Phil didn't see his shadow and predicted an early Spring. And early it shall be. In fact, Spring will arrive earlier than it has in the last 124 years.

KCEN-TV reports that the vernal equinox will take place on March 19 - the earliest date since it happened in 1896. Usually the vernal equinox happens on March 20 or 21st, but this year we get it a little earlier.

FYI, the U.S. Naval Observatory has the responsibility to oversee the "Master Clock" which is the clock used to set the time for clocks around the world including your cell phone, computer and GPS devices. They track the time and, according to them, Spring will officially arrive at 11:50 PMEastern time on March 19 2020. That would make it 10:50 PM here in Temple/Killeen.

So congrats Punxsutawney Phil. You got this one right. I'm already working on my beach bod and looking forward to those AWESOME Blue Bonnets.
