Limestone County District Clerk Arrested

A Limestone County official was arrested Tuesday night during a traffic stop.

KWTX's John Carroll reports that Deputy Limestone County District Clerk Barri Uhl Barri Uhl was free on bond Wednesday after being arrested Tuesday night. Uhl was pulled over around 8:30 p.m. by a Department of Public Safety trooper on a rural road in Limestone County just south of Mexia.

Uhl was charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and assault on a public servant. She was released after posting bonds totalling $15,000.

There has been no word from Limestone County on the status of Uhl's position and employment.
