Lampasas Police made an arrest at the town's middle school Wednesday after a student "allegedly made threats of violence at the school".

A letter was sent to parents by Lampasas Superintendent Chane Rascoe. KWTX shared a portion of the message that stated, "The responsible student will be charged by law enforcement; meanwhile, we will follow district policies and procedures and take appropriate action in handling this issue."

Rascoe stressed, "We want to assure you that we take all security-related incidents very seriously and we will always exercise caution regarding matters of safety."
