Killeen Police are investigating the murder of a teenager that took place late Sunday night.

According to Killeen Police Department Public Affairs' Ofelia Miramontez, officers were dispatched to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in regards to a gunshot victim at 11:37 P.M. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Jacques Lee Jackson, and officers learned he had been shot in the 5300 block of Fiesta Oak Drive in Killeen.

According to police, other officers were dispatched to Fiesta Oak Drive and located a crime scene. Sadly, Jackson would later succumb to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Monday morning.

Police have not released any additional information at this time, but they are asking for the public's help.
