Police say Billie Dovonte Scott did 75 mph on a 30 mph street while fleeing from police, then hit a man on an ATV and crashed into a van. Ouch! He and two passengers ran from the scene.

Our partners at News 10 report that the chase happened back on August 4th according to court documents that got released on Tuesday. Scott was still in the Bell County jail as of yesterday on bonds adding up to $70K. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and accident with serious injury and running from police (evading arrest).

The whole mess started around 5:30 p.m. on August 4th on State Highway 195 near U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14. A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to pull over the SUV when Scott refused to stop.

This is when it got very dangerous. Scott attempted to turn right onto Trimmier Road at a high speed when his SUV strayed into a turn lane and struck a man riding on an ATV. That ended up with scrapes to their arms, legs, and the top of their head according to court documents. The stolen SUV then crashed into a parked van in the parking lot of a daycare. This is when Scott and his passengers knew the joy ride was over and decided to make a run for it.

Police managed to arrest Scott and one of his passengers. A third person is still on the run. If you have any information that can help Killeen Police locate the missing person who fled the scene of the accident please call (254) 501-8830.
