Killeen ISD Set To Vote On Pay Increase For Employees

Should Killeen ISD employees receive a pay increase?

It's been a crazy year for teachers and employees at Killeen ISD due to the pandemic. With virtual classes and schedule changes it's been a bit much to handle but the district has survived. Killeen ISD is trying to show their employees they are appreciated by proposing a pay increase.

According to KXXV, the district has plans to vote on a new compensation package that will increase the wages and incentives for teachers and support staff. The proposed plan will provide a three in a half percent increase in salaries.

With the pandemic teachers have had to take on the role as a in person teacher and a virtual teacher. Their work loads have increased so I believe it's a must that teachers are compensated for their hard work.

The district is set to vote on several aspects of the proposed plan tonight and I hope all employees get what they deserve.
