Presidential hopeful Joe Biden was asked what he would do if he were elected president tomorrow to get the surging number of coronavirus cases under control, his response, ""I would do everything possible to make it required that people have to wear masks in public."

Biden was responding to a question asked by CBS Pittsburgh station KDKA's Ken Rice.

Grace Segers with CBS News Digital reports that Biden also said that he would not wear a mask while being inaugurated, taking the oath of office could be done while practicing social distance. He went on to say, "I don't see that happening" referring to holding indoor rallies like what President Trump did in Oklahoma.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends wearing masks and says that "cloth masks may slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others."

Opinions are split on the wearing of masks. Some feel like we should while others don't agree that we should be forced to wear them. What are your thoughts on wearing a mask? Sound off in the comments.
