Jerry Jones’s Grandson Commits To Texas

Come next fall, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will be keeping a close eye on two football teams in Texas, now that his grandson Paxton Anderson has committed to play for the University of Texas.

NBCSports report that the 6-foot-4, 207-pound tight end/wide receiver is committed as a preferred walk-on for the Longhorns. The Highland Park standout broke the news via Twitter.

Jerry's other grandson, John Stephen Jones, is currently playing for his alma mater Arkansas, a rival of the Longhorns. So there could be some drama, which I think should mean the Jones need a reality show..

Actually, never mind. I think we're good.

As stated earlier, Paxton is only a preferred walk-on, meaning the college wants the recruit on their team, but the coach doesn’t have a scholarship for them. Will Paxton survive? It's not like he has a billionaire or two to pay for his tuition.

Oh wait, he does.

Plus, a number of walk-ons have gone on to be NFL stars - J.J. Watt, Clay Mathews, to name a couple.

Who knows? Paxton could be playing for pop-pop one day.
