One of our employees was harassed all day by scammers pretending to be with the IRS.

We recorded one of their voicemails and wanted to present it to all of you as a warning for what to watch and listen for when it comes to these scams.

The IRS will NEVER call you over tax issues. They will send notarized mail, and they certainly won't threaten you over the phone.

If you receive a call or voicemail like this (note the threats and the awful grammar), ignore it, block the number, and feel free to contact your local police department's non-emergency line to report the number.

By the way, this year's deadline for filing your taxes is Tuesday, April 17.
