Today is “International Creepy Boston Dynamics Robotic Horse” Day.

So what is this thing? It’s a robot designed to support soldiers in the field as they roll through enemy territory. This horse can carry 400 pounds of payload and travel 20 miles on one charge. It also follows it's human master around without the need for external controls.

Developed by Boston Dynamics, they call it the legged Squad Support System.

They will probably be rolling a lot of stuff like this off the assembly line.  (I think they have a government contract) So if you have a robotic minded kid in your household get that resume ready.
