For two hours late Sunday night/early Monday morning, an ATM in Houston began spitting out $100 bills in place of $10 bills, according to KHOU.

The Bank of America machine had been filled with $100 bills by a vendor who had loaded the cash incorrectly, resulting in numerous people being surprised with "free money" when they were withdrawing cash.

Word made it's way around town, and by the time deputies showed up there was already a crowd surrounding the machine. Once Bank of America received word of what was going on, they shut down the machine and deputies cleared out the crowd.

In a statement made to KHOU, Bank of America says:

This was an incident at a single ATM in Houston caused when a vendor incorrectly loaded $100 bills in place of $10 bills. We have resolved the matter. Customers will be able to keep the additional money dispensed.

So, all of the customers got to keep the bills and got some extra cash this holiday season. I guess not everyone is as upset about this as Bank of America probably is.
