H.E.B. has just reinstated limits for paper towels and yikes, toilet paper for H-E-B stores in the Border, Central Texas, Gulf Coast, and San Antonio regions.

It seems that if you live in these areas and bought an excess supply of toilet paper at the beginning of the pandemic, you might have been thinking ahead.

For the rest of us who decided to wait it out, we might have gambled and lost.

According to H.E.B.'s website, local shoppers are now limited to just 2 - bath tissue and 2 - paper towel products per shopping trip for an undisclosed amount of time.

Although it's unclear at this time why specifically paper towels and toilet paper limits have been reinstated, H.E.B.'s website offers, "To help protect the supply chain in Texas, we’ve implemented temporary purchase limits on certain items. Limiting product purchases is a proven way to ensure the best service and product availability for all customers. Our stores are in strong supply and we continue to restock products daily."

Limits on several disinfectant items remain in place as well. Disinfecting & antibacterial sprays are still limited to 2 items, disinfecting & antibacterial wipes are limited to 4 items, hydrogen peroxide limit 2, rubbing (Isopropyl) Alcohol limit 2 as well as first Aid and cleaning gloves are limited to 2.

H.E.B. is still limiting brisket, listed as their only food time limitation to 2 per purchase.
