The Gold card was out in force on this day.  Back in 1969 "Spinning Wheel" by Blood Sweat and Tears went Gold, as well as the single "One" by Three Dog Night.  In 1981 the Billy Squier Album "Don't Say No", which featured "The Stroke", "My Kinda Lover", and "Lonely is Night" was certified Gold.  But, it was on this day in 1980 that the best Billy Joel  song was certified Gold.
