Full House star Candace Cameron Bure is coming to Fort Hood.

The actress, best known for playing D.J. Tanner on Full House and its sequel series Fuller House, will be at the Clear Creek Exchange for a book signing from 5 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, January 22.

The event is open to Fort Hood soldiers and their family members who purchase a copy of the book at the Clear Creek Exchange. Wristbands will be distributed on the day of the event with proof of purchase, so hold on to your receipt. Wristbands are limited in quantity and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Bure will be signing copies of her newest children's book, Grow, Candace, Grow. The book is about a little girl who convinces her teacher that her class should start a garden to celebrate spring. When the flowers don't grow as quickly as she'd like, Candace grows impatient and tries all sorts of crazy schemes to get them to hurry up, eventually learning a few lessons about patience.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Candace Cameron Bure to the Fort Hood Exchange,” said General Manager Daniel Wise. “The Exchange is excited to give soldiers and their families an opportunity to meet a favorite celebrity.”

Wristbands will only go to soldiers and their family members who purchase the book at the Exchange, but if you'd like to share the book with your family, it's also available on Amazon. (See links below.)

UPDATE: A listener let us know that Bure will also be appearing at Waco's Phoenix Ballroom on Thursday, January 23. Tickets for the event are on sale at Eventbrite.

The book is a sequel to Bure's previous book, Candace Center Stage.
