Frozen Pizza’s Being Recalled Because of E-Colli Scare. Do you have one in Your Freezer?
A frozen food company has issued a recall because of an E-Colli scare in some of their products.
Farm Rich issued a statement on their website, describing the comprehensive recall of all products produced in their Waycross Georgia facility.
The following Farm Rich products, with “Best By” dates of January 1, 2013 through September 29, 2014 include:
Farm Rich Philly Cheese Steaks – All Sizes
Farm Rich Mini Quesadillas – All Sizes
Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices – All Sizes
Farm Rich Mozzarella Bites – All Sizes
Farm Rich Mini Bacon Cheeseburgers – All Sizes
More information on affected products can be found via Farm Rich's website.
At this time the company is working closely with the USDA, FDA, CDC, and the scientific community to see how the food may have been contaminated. Farm Rich's website confirms one person has become ill related to the Farm Rich Quesadilla product.
Some recalled Farm Rich products are sold at Wal-Mart. We tried to contact the local Wal-Marts here in Killeen and Temple; however, we only received a response from the store in Belton. An employee at the Belton Wal-Mart told us the store had removed the suspected Farm Rich products at this time.
