I think it's safe to say most of us have a bad habit of holding on to old papers, receipts, and mail for way too long, and we end up with piles and boxes full of the junk. Well, Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful and Miss Five Hills Jazmine Hendricks want to help you out with that this Sunday.

On November 15 from 10 AM to 2 PM, you're invited to a free community shred day event at the Copperas Cove ISD Service and Training Center, 408 South Main Street.

Gather up your old receipts, documents, bills, junk mail, and any other paper items you know you need to get rid of. They'll take them off your hands and toss 'em in a bid shredder for secure and responsible disposal.

This is a drive through and drop off event, so you'll need to remain in your car and wear a mask for the safety of your family and volunteers. You will be allowed to watch them shred your stuff so you can be assured that it's been torn to bits and no one will swipe your personal information.

The event is open to the general public, so you don't need to be a citizen of Copperas Cove to attend. There's also no limit on how much paper you can bring, so don't be shy about loading up those old bank boxes.

If you have any questions, reach out to Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful Executive Director Roxanne Flores-Achmad at kccb@copperascovetx.gov or Public Relations Director Kevin Keller at kkeller@copperascovetx.gov.
