Florida Police Hand Out Scratch Off Tickets with Traffic Tickets on Christmas

The state of Florida is normally known for acts of stupidity, or silliness.  But on Christmas, police in the town of Melbourne tried to add a little Christmas cheer during a time of jeer.

Getting a ticket on your way to celebrate the birth of Christ can put a damper on the spirit of the season.  But, police in Melbourne still needed to keep the streets safe.  Their solution: give out lottery tickets along with citations.  The thing is, they bought the tickets with their own money.
