Today we found the story of a fisherman in Willacy County who insists the State of Texas sold him cocaine when he purchased his fishing license. No, seriously.

A Willacy County game warden on patrol at Fred Stone Pier in Port Mansfield asked a fisherman if he could have a look at that person's fishing license. The man quickly produced his fishing license, but when he went to remove it from the handy protective plastic pouch, out fell a bag of white powder. The fisherman/suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

The fisherman insists he had just purchased the license and that it was given to him in the protective pouch with the cocaine inside.
