Fire Department Responds to Waco Business Fire

News 10 is reporting that a Waco glass plant caught fire early Friday morning.

The fire occurred at the Owens Illinois glass plant located on Beverly drive.

Waco fire department tweeted, "Furnace leaking molten glass. Cooling operations in progress."

KWTX said, "The fire is towards the back of the building and is not visible from the street. No word on the extent of the damages or if there were any injuries."

Owens Illinois glass' website says "Proud to provide high-quality glass packaging for beer, wine, spirits, food, non-alcoholic beverages."

Officials have no further details on the situation.
