You know that point in your walk when you realize the audio book you are listening to is so boring you are actually paying attention to the scenery as you walk by? Well that happend to me Saturday.

I lost interest in the audio book when I noticed Mother Nature had done it again.

Yep, the fire ants had made their way to the top side of the Earth.  I imagined these little ant construction crews were building walkways so the ants could come to the surface.  When they got to the top they found little ant bars and clubs.

This one is called ByPolar.  Get it, it's by a Pole!  Those crazy ants!

Each little hill is a thriving night spot for the stingy little creatures.  This is Club Row. All owned by the same ant. We have a dancing club, a sports bar and one just for the ladies. All connected by an underground moving side walk. I wish I could have taken a picture of that, but they would not allow the flash!

Sure the ants know the danger of coming to the surface. Someone could get killed at any moment.  Looks like a drive by happened here. Let's call it a walk by.

From the way the other ants just go on having fun, while their drinking partners lie dead. I would say they believe the risk is worth it.

It can't be any fun spending your whole life underground while the Queen Mom keeps having babies and passing them off for other ants to raise.

Hey that sounds kind of like those 19 kids and counting people, except it's millions of ants and counting! That takes the imagination in a whole nother direction.

Here it is, the Grand Daddy Club of them all.  They call it Monstrosity!

LaMonte Ant says, "Hey you going to Monstrosity tonight?"

Dewayne Ant replies, "Damn Straight!"

I could actually hear the music as I walked by!
