Evictions are on the rise in Central Texas according to one Bell County Constable; so much so that his office needs MORE deputies to help the process.

According to our news partner KWTX News 10, Bell County Pct. 3 Constable Thomas Prado has served more than 1,000 eviction notices so far in 2017, and he says that he is considering asking the commissioner’s court for two new deputies at next year’s budget meeting.

His office currently has 5 employees, one of whom was nearly attacked on Friday while trying to post an eviction notice at a home in Temple. The deputy was not hurt in the incident.
