Elvis and Suspicious Minds Goes Gold in 1970

Hey Gang,

This will make my Mom and her sisters happy.  It was on this day that Elvis, and his "comeback" hit "Suspicious Minds" was certified Gold.

It was written by songwriter Mark James.  He did put it out himself, but it failed, so they passed on to Elvis.  It went to number one in 1969.  It was his seventeenth and last number in America.

Rolling Stone would rank it Number 91 on their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
