Early Gunfire Saturday in Temple Leaves One Dead
There was an officer involved shooting Saturday morning in Temple.
KWTX is reporting that police responded to a disturbance call involving weapons at the Glen Apartments in the 2600 block of South 39th street at 3:38 a. m.
When the police arrived they were met with gunfire. They fired back in self-defense killing one man, and injuring another.
The injured man was shot in the arm as was taken to Baylor Scott & White with non-life threatening injuries. The other man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is being led by the Texas Rangers, with assistance by Temple C.I.D.
The officers involved will be placed on paid administrative leave.
Proving once again, nothing good happens after midnight.
