Don’t Drown Turn Around

KWTX's Christopher Shadrock reported that heavy rain fall left some Central Texans having to do the unthinkable to ensure they made it to safety.

The heavy rainfall on Wednesday caused for streams and ditches in the area to fill up with water very quickly.

A driver in the Central Texas town of Woodway was confused by high waters that covered the road, and put a driver in no mans land has they attempted to turn off of U.S. Highway 84 access road onto Londonderry Drive.

Assistant Police Chief of Woodway Department of Public Safety Larry Adams said, "The driver of a Corvette ended up steering off the water-covered road into a ditch obscured by the runoff."

Adams expressed that this wasn't the first instance that this happened, but also on the bright side of things no injuries were reported from the high waters.
