As we've reported recently, the Belton Chamber of Commerce has decided to make their annual 4th of July parade a virtual event this year. The decision was made as part of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with the health and safety of parade attendees in mind.

The Belton Chamber has released a short video explaining how this will be done and what you should do if you want to participate. I'll give you the run down.

The Chamber is asking anyone who wants to participate in the parade to record their entry in a 10 - 15 second video. They'd like to see your vehicles drive by from the right side of the screen to the left so the driver's side window faces the camera. That way the driver can wave too!

Anyone can participate, and there is no entry fee. The videos can be uploaded on the Belton Chamber Facebook Event Page. If you want your entry to be judged, you will need to upload your video to the dropbox address listed HERE.

Be creative with your video, have a great time with it, and join in on a fun event that's been a Belton tradition for 101 years now. This is a great way to show your 4th of July spirit and make memories with the whole family and the Central Texas community.
