Runners and walkers are gearing up for the 40th year of The Toughest 10K in Texas to be held on Saturday, July 11 and starting at 7am.

The Toughest 10K in Texas will be held during the Annual Lampasas Spring Ho Festival and hosted by The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, and is now part of the Centex Race Series. Runners and competitors, of all ages travel from all over to run in this race because of the challenging course. All proceeds benefit the Lampasas County Community.

This year's race will feature both a 5k and 1 mile fun run as a way to encourage folks of all ages to come out and participate and will start and finish at the Hancock Park Golf Course Pavilion in Lampasas.

Attendees are being encouraged to follow safety guidelines including social distancing, wearing masks and following other CDC and event recommendations.

Sign up early and save some money. The 1 mile run registration fee is $15, $25 for the 5K Run and $35 for the10K Run. Those fee's increase by $5 per individual after June 24th. You can also register on race-day from 5:30-6:30am.

All races are timed and scored with medals handed out to the top three places in each age group for the 5 & 10k.
