I really think I'm getting the hang of this Texas thing.

Today is my one year anniversary here in Central Texas.  For the past year, I have not only woken up with you on mornings on K-1017, I've also been Operations Manager for all five Townsquare Media radio stations in the Killeen/Temple market, including KTEM 1400, US 105, B106 and Kiss 103.1. If it comes out of the airwaves into your speaker, I've had a hand in bringing it to you.  Thank you for being on the other side of that speaker; I hope I kept you there for a long time and continue to distract you from the BS of everyday life.

As a wise young man once said, "life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."  No truer words were ever spoken, great is the wisdom embedded in that sentence.  It's amazing to think of all of the things, the good things that have been accomplished in the year. Because radio is a collaborative medium,  I have to thank everyone who works at our two facilities. By the very nature of radio, when you work in it you give a little bit of yourself. I hope  that's readily apparent when you listen to one of our five stations.

Thanks to a great bunch of people, our staff, for making it an amazingly rewarding collaboration.  I would've run screaming if I didn't have the caliber of people which I have been gifted with managing. They take great initiative and have a real pride in their work.  I've learned much from them; I only hope they were able to learn something for me.

Year two starts right now!
