A Lubbock-based roadside attraction which resembles the tomb of Jesus Christ has been vandalized by arsonists according to authorities there.

It might be a bit presumptuous of me to presume that atheists set this fire. Then again, this is a group of people who act so amazingly offended  by references to a God they claim doesn't exist, so anything is possible with someone as irrational as that.

It's just as offensive to realize that this display was on private property. Someone violated the law to access the property in the first place.  That may seem obvious to you, but if you think about it it's even more insidious that those who simply want to remove religious displays from public property. This act is just hateful.

Coincidentally, there is another replica of Jesus's tomb in Texas, this one in Groom near Amarillo.  I hope security has been beefed up there.

During this holiday season, I hope you join me in a prayer for these sites and the people who committed these awful acts. I can't think of anybody more in need of prayer then someone who could do that.
