National Nurses Day is Today (Wednesday, May 6), and Dunkin' is saying "Thank You" with free coffee and donuts.

According to the Dunkin' Newsroom, Dunkin’ and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation have developed a program called "Hero Recharge" with the mission of keeping our "healthcare heroes running" with free coffee and breakfast treats. National Nurses Day is the perfect day for such a cause.

Here's how it works. Healthcare workers just visit participating Dunkin’ restaurants and pick a free medium hot or iced coffee and a free donut while supplies last. There's no purchase necessary, and it's a great way to start a shift or save it as a "pick me up" for later in the day.

Dave Hoffmann, CEO of Dunkin’ Brands, says,

“As a brand with a long heritage of serving those who serve, we appreciate and honor the heroic work and unwavering commitment nurses and healthcare professionals show every day. Their selfless sacrifices inspire all of us to come together to do everything we can to support our communities. We want people on the frontlines to know that we have their backs and they can count on Dunkin’ to help keep them running.”

Thanks to all the Healthcare Heroes who continue to show up day in day out. We all celebrate you on National Nurses Day!
