Hey Gang,

Big Q here with the Big Q Tip of the day.  Real quick, check your pockets.  I usually do laundry Sunday mornings.  It seems fitting.  People have a tendency to pray on Sunday mornings, and since I don’t go to church, I like to pray that the washer and dryer work.  It makes me feel like I’m taking part.  “Don’t overflow.  Don’t overflow.  Don’t start on fire.  Don’t start on fire.  Amen”

Anywho, this past weekend my prayers were answered and the washer didn’t overflow, nor was there a fire.  But, when I went to pull the clothes out, I noticed a brown like substance on a pair of underwear.  What the hell!  When did I poop myself?

(This is a disturbing thought to have.  When did I get so old that pooping myself became my first concern.  If I was younger I would’ve blamed animal, or burglar, but no, my first thought is "me" pooping myself.  Stick me in a home already!)

After a quick diagnosis of the situation, and of the substance, I realized that it wasn’t poop.  It wasn’t smelly, or moist.  It was paper like.  Did I get funny money? Nope, it was an attempt at a good deed.  You know the saying, no good deed goes unpunished.  Well my “good deed” of collecting box tops for kids ruined my wash.  I failed to transfer said box tops to a my clean shorts the morning I had planned on giving them to the person who asked for them.

Yes, I blame you Rita, and those meddling kids that are trying to do something nice. (Scooby Doo Moment) .

Since I’m a single male, I don’t check pockets.  Don’t want to lose my “man” card after all.  Growing up I never had to check them, that’s what Mom’s are for.  Oh sure Mom would always yell “check your pockets”, but I new she would always recheck them for me. Why do for your self what Mom will do later.

Well, now I understand.  At some point in her life there was one time when mom didn’t check the pockets and her wash was ruined.  So now I have too endanger my “man” card and check my pockets.

The Big Q Tip; If you never want to check your pockets, never move out of your parents house.   Your welcome.
