Blackface Bank Bandit Wanted In Buda, Texas

Police in Buda, Texas are asking for the public's help capturing a bank robber whose makeup skills need some work.

According to KENS 5, Buda Police are searching for a man accused of passing a note to a bank teller demanding money, then taking off with the cash. It happened at around 3:00 PM on Monday at a Broadway Bank branch. The suspect left on foot.

He's described as a white or Hispanic male (despite his oh-so-clever makeup) in his 40's, and if you have any information regarding the identity of this subject or any additional information, please contact the Buda Police Department at 512-312-1001. Ask for Detective Fleming.

As for his weak attempt at a disguise, everyone on social media is going in with comments wondering what was he thinking as he painted on either shoe polish or a woman's charcoal scrub.

Maybe he was trying to exfoliate his skin while robbing the bank, or maybe his lame attempt was to pin this crime on someone that would be described as "African American". Hey, maybe he saw this 80's movie and thought it was a good idea.
