For three years, 1987 to 1990, when you heard the name Tracy Ullman you thought of the comedian who had her own sketch comedy show. But, for some of us, we thought of a singer.

You see, this multi-talented artist had a top 10 song in 1984. “They Don’t Know” had a 50s sound, and of course a guest appearance by a Beatle.

But what most people don’t know about Tracy Ullman, is that she is responsible for a cartoon. It was on her TV show that a certain animated short became a monster. Yes, the Simpsons got their start on the Tracy Ullman show.
