Summit Hosts Marrow Donor Drive
Summit Recreation Center is partnering with the Scott and White Marrow Donor Program to host a donor registration drive. Adults ages 18 to 44 are encouraged to come in on Monday, August 18, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., or between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., or on Tuesday, August 19, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., or between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Coryell County Reduces 2014 Spending Requests
More than $170,000 in general fund spending was cut from the 2014 draft budget by the Coryell County Commissioners' Court on Monday. Commissioners will meet again to continue the effort to cut $200,000 from the budget in order to avoid a tax increase and ensure a 25 percent budget reserve.
