George and Carol McCoy are the ultimate UT football fans. We were introduced to the wonderful couple in a story from KVUE.

George, 87, has been a fan of the longhorns for as long as he can remember.  "In 1948 I think Bobby Lane was playing and I fell in love with Texas Football and everything I did in the way of sports" McCoy said.

Carol isn't quite the lifelong fan. In fact, she didn't even know about American football when she met George. Carol is from Malaysia and met George when he was working in the Southeast Asia country for an oil business.

George taught her the ways of college football and she became a fan of the orange and white and watched many games while they lived in Thailand until retirement.

"When we retired, she said, 'What do you wanna do?' and I said, 'I wanna go watch the Longhorns,'" said George. So they moved to Austin and go to as many games as they can. Especially the classic Red River Rivalry.

Carol says. "I'd like to teach the Sooners how to do the horns up,"

George's hopeful statement. "What I would like to see is the opponents to quit doing the horns down and the Texas people quit hollering 'OU sucks."

Some positivity we all need.

When they go to this weekend's matchup it will be the 22nd consecutive year they make the trip. 22 is Goerge's favorite number on account of it's what ole Bobby Lane used to sport.
