Austin City Manager issues Statement on Orlando Shooting

Earlier, a Statement from Austin City Manager Marc A. Ott regarding Orlando attack was released to the media:

"An attack like the one that took place in Orlando this morning is an attack on all of us, whatever city you live in. Everyone here in Austin stands with the people of Orlando, and in support of every person and family affected by this despicable act.

"Our prayers go out to the loved ones of those killed and injured, the remarkable law enforcement personnel who put their own lives at risk to end the violence, and to the entire LGBT community around the world. There is no place for this kind of hate in our nation.

"Austin stands to help in any way that may be necessary. We will be vigilant to stand up for our own LGBT community and to ensure their safety and peace of mind in this difficult moment."
