Apple announced its newest line-up of products in a (way too long) 2-hour presentation Tuesday morning, which was held in the brand new Steve Jobs Theater.

While the presentation also showed off new developments for the Apple Watch and Apple TV product lines, the real highlight of the event was the newest additions for the iPhone.

The two newest iPhone models are the iPhone 8/8+ and the iPhone X (pronounced iPhone Ten).

The 8 and 8 plus come with significant improvements to their cameras, even allowing 1080 video up to 240 fps (4x more than before). The 8+ has a dual camera on the back, which allows for manipulation of the lighting composition in portrait mode. It's a really cool feature that may make up for the size of the thing.

The most exciting feature of the new iPhone is the AR (augmented reality) kit that comes built into the A11 Bionic chip. It allows for augmented reality games such as The Machines, which was made by Directive Games and featured in Apple's presentation.

While the iPhone 8 has some awesome new features, the iPhone X takes those and goes a little further. The biggest thing with the iPhone X is the screen design, which covers the front of the phone fully from top-to-bottom and from side-to-side.

The iPhone X ditches the home button and Touch ID for a more secure facial recognition, called Face ID. This technology also allows for other more entertainment-oriented features, such as Animojis (animated emojis) and front-facing lighting composition in Portrait Mode.

The release of the iPhone X is supposed to be a platform off of which to build for the next decade. It will be interesting to see what they can come up with using these innovative advances in their technology.
