Saving somebody trapped in a hot car is a pretty heroic thing to do,  even if the rescuer is only three years old.  His name is Keith Williams and he's a hero to 68 year old Bob King!

It happened last Saturday.  While waiting for his wife at the Vestal Baptist Church in Knoxville, 68 year old Bob, got trapped in his car after the doors automatically locked.

It was 91 degrees outside,  and the car was getting hotter.  120 degrees inside!

Without a car key, Bob couldn’t turn the air conditioning on. (Why didn’t his wife leave the key???)

Anyway as Bob is frantically trying to get out of the car he sees 3-year-old Keith Williams walking past.  Bob starts knocking on the car window and Keith stopped.

“I hollered at him and he just looked at me kind of funny and I said ‘Get help, get help,’” Bob said.

The preschooler was not strong enough to open the car door by himself. So he ran to Pastor Jack for help.

Pastor Jack told ABC, “I was talking to someone and little Keith came behind me and kept saying, ‘Locked, locked, locked.”

Pastor Jack didn’t really pay attention, but then Keith started patting and pulling his hand, and kept saying “hot, hot.”  I followed him [Keith] out.  When I saw Bob in the car, I said to myself: “Oh my Lord."

After a few tries, Pastor Jack got the door open and Bob fell out of the car almost hitting his head on the pavement.

“His whole body was raining sweat. His face was red like a pickled beet,” Pastor Jack said

Pastor Jack brought Bob inside the air conditioned church and gave him some water.

Keith was very proud, telling the news people, "I saved his life!"

Yes you did Buddy!!!
