The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting that healthcare workers make up 10% to 20% of U.S. Cornoavirus cases. Not surprising because these heroes have always shown us that they'll do whatever it takes to treat us.

According to a report from Mike Stobbe with the Associated Press, that puts the percentage here in the U.S. almost twice as high as those reported in Italy and Spain, which are reporting 10% of the their cases are healthcare workers.

These numbers, once again, show why we should always be celebrating our "front line workers" - the men and women who show up everyday to do a job that puts them, and their families, at risk.

It's great to see all the places that are offering free goods and services to the healthcare workers. It's greatly deserved. Maybe after all of this is over, and I know this could take a while, the places that offer military discounts can extend those same discounts to the men and women who put themselves in harms way on a daily basis. The same men and women who risk their own health to treat those that need it. Our healthcare workers.

It's true: heroes don't always wear capes.
